Professional Sales Executive
Electronic Ink is seeking a Senior New Business Development Professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The position requires an undergraduate degree and a proven track record of experience in new business development or account management in a services consultancy, or industry experience in target sectors listed below. A strong understanding of technology, design and/or business interactions is expected.
- Reports directly to President of Electronic Ink
- Based in Philadelphia office, targeting primarily the Northeast Corridor
- Target sectors include Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Financial Services, Technology and Software companies
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
- Move an account from prospect to lead to client
- Create and deliver high-impact and high-value sales presentations
- Thorough understanding of Sales Process, including proposal creation
- Develop and maintain existing and new customer relationships through planned account activity and interaction with internal Marketing and Communications team
Compensation

Lead Human Factors Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Lead Human Factors Analyst to guide our clients’ understanding of their end users within the application design process.
Overall Responsibility:
A Lead Human Factors Analyst is responsible for gathering user requirements, applying this information to the design process and validating the usability of the resulting user interface. Lead people as well as projects. It is critical that the analyst be able to quickly and effectively communicate actionable recommendations (both verbal and written) to design teams. The Lead will represent Electronic Ink in a professional manner and understand the goals of the client and the project.
Key Areas of Responsibility (or Essential Functions):
- Lead team members and projects.
- Understand how people use technology through observation and analyses.
- Improve user experiences and interfaces to make designs and processes user centered.
- Travel to customer sites to gather user requirements through contextual interviews and observation.
- Identify and profile end users and their requirements.
- Conduct competitive and heuristic usability analysis.
- Conduct usability walk-throughs and usability testing studies.
- Analyze resulting data and provide written reports of findings in accordance with our deliverable templates.
- Perform the above within allocated budget and timeframes.
- Publishing and presenting at national and international conferences.
Skills:
- Experience in research and experimental design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with data presentation tools (Visio, PowerPoint).
- Passion for usability and an advocate for the user.
- Leadership skills to guide clients and mentor team members.
- Detail oriented.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years leading teams of two or more members.
- Minimum 5 years experience in user research and/or usability testing. Completed research projects that demonstrate an application of research methods to collect and analyze usability data.
- Experience working in a consulting environment is preferred.
- Preference given to those candidates with publication track record.
Educational Requirements:
- Advanced degree such as a masters or a doctorate in human computer interaction, engineering, psychology, anthropology, communication, or related area.

Project Manager
Electronic Ink is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 5-7 years IT project management experience including the full software development cycle. This position is responsible for planning and directing multidisciplinary teams of technology, design and human factors professionals building innovative solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing project scope, risk, quality and communications
- Developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets and ensuring high quality deliverables
PMI certification desired, but not necessary.
Lead Technologist
The Lead Technologist position is the primary focus point for both clients and internal staff for technology efforts at Electronic Ink. The Lead Technologist crafts effective solutions architectures considering a client's infrastructure and needs, clearly articulating technology possibilities and concerns.
The candidate will provide tech sales support and lead Technology efforts effectively on Electronic Ink client engagements. The Lead Technologist must demonstrate passion for both Electronic Ink's approach to technology and to project success.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate is a technology team leader with solid, proven architecture, communication and mentoring skills who enjoys and thrives in fast-paced multi-project environments deploying the right technology in support of distinctive user experiences.
- Mentor and advise Technology staff
- Maintain in depth knowledge of selected off the shelf software solutions and competing products
- Develop and maintain expertise in at least one of the business domains served or targeted by Electronic Ink
Skills and Experience:
Between 5-10 years significant IT development experience, including leadership roles, preferably in multi-disciplinary projects. Excellent communication skills explaining complex issues in a simple coherent manner both in writing and verbally.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to convert high-level user requirements into functional specifications and define high-level, complex solution architecture
- Solid object oriented (OO) & relational design and development (OOA, OOD) capabilities
- Distributed component architectures (COM, DCOM, CORBA or EJB, J2EE, Web Services) and all components of application service layer
- Data modeling experience and relational database experience (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Informix, Sybase)
- Practical knowledge of multiple architecture
- Experience with UML and eXtreme Programming XML/XSLT, HTML/DHTML and related display-tier development tools

The Enterprise Software Expert crafts effective solutions architectures considering a client's infrastructure and needs, clearly articulating technology possibilities and concerns.
The candidate will provide tech sales support and lead Technology efforts effectively on Electronic Ink client engagements. The Enterprise Software Expert must demonstrate passion for both Electronic Ink's approach to technology, users and to project success.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate is a technology team leader with solid, proven architecture, communication and mentoring skills who enjoys and thrives in fast-paced multi-project environments deploying the right technology in support of distinctive user experiences. The candidate has completed one to many implementations in leading client Relationship Management (preferably Siebel) or Supply Chain Management (preferably Ariba) products at the Lead/Architect or Senior Developer levels. The Expert must bring some ideas and a passion for optimizing the user experience and 'bending' the vendors' products and architecture to achieve this. The Expert must bring rich experience in a variety of verticals (e.g. Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, etc) and have led clients through implementations and provided technical pre-sales support (e.g. estimating, writing proposals, making technical presentations to a broad client base up to C levels). The role provides solid experience in early requirements gathering and as well as matching of products and architectural solutions to requirements.

We are currently seeking an experienced designer capable of leading large and complex user interface design projects with Fortune 500 clients. This candidate must possess the uncanny ability to dissect complex business requirements and workflows to create conceptual models that are intrinsic or analogous to the information content, yet tempered by the needs of the user audiences, client's business strategy, and technology architectures.
Responsibilities include:

Candidates must also be innovative, solution-oriented, articulate and should enjoy working on multiple projects concurrently. Must be able to articulate design concepts and strategies, and value criticism and feedback from Electronic Ink's Human Factors and Technology teams.
Requirements:
Must hold a degree in interaction design, industrial design, graphic design, architecture, or comparable program. At least four to six years professional experience or post-graduate degree strongly preferred. Proficiency with Adobe and Macromedia products, as well as a range of technology platforms is a given. Must have an interest and ability to learn and understand our various clients' industry-specific languages and processes. A desire to work in collaborative environment is essential. Must be conscientious, detail oriented, energetic and passionate about design and technology.
