Position: Senior Web Presentation Developer

Position Description

Electronic Ink is a leading design firm dedicated to creating and refining the experience for users interacting with digital products. From its offices in Philadelphia, London and Raleigh, Electronic Ink improves the design and usability of software applications, enterprise software and browser-based applications. As a professional services firm we are looking for Lead Level Designers to join the design team.

The Senior Web Presentation Developers work closely with various level technology experts, research professionals, strategists, client program managers and the business development team, to both create and oversee the design, look and feel, and user experience of various web-based and desktop applications. Candidate must have the ability to guide and oversee fellow team members. Candidate is expected to develop a deep understanding of every client's target audiences, their users' behaviors, needs and expectations and confidently incorporate them into a comprehensive solution.

Responsibilities

• Tactically plan and execute development efforts on projects
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to generate development deliverables
• Develop clean, well documented client side and server-side presentation tier code for design implementation
• Stay current with new technology and design trends
• Assist with development planning, scoping and the sales process for small projects
• Internal (some client facing) Technology Strategy and Process Consulting
• Mentorship of junior developers

Skills and Experience

• 5 - 7 years experience in Software and Web Application Development with at least 3 years experience developing user interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• 1-2 years experience on a multidisciplinary design/development team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in Web Application development in at least one of PHP,C#,ColdFusion
• Expertise using JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks
• Expertise in the use of web standards and the semantic web, table-less web development best practices, and CSS
• Expertise in the use of XML/XSLT, xHTML and related display-tier development tools
• Understanding of object oriented (OO) & relational design and development (OOA, OOD)
• Experience in at least one of the following: AJAX, FLEX, SILVERLIGHT
• Relational database experience (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, DB2, Informix, Sybase)
