Position: VP, Business Development
Position Description
The VP, Business Development leads and manages the selling
process of Electronic Ink's design consulting and delivery
capabilities. While their primary audience is larger enterprises
and the major ISV's, they also develop and manage alliance business
relationships and actively promote alliance offerings.
The profile of the VP, Business Development should combine
industry expertise and technology, along with design know-how to
grow business with new clients. The VP, Business Development is
also responsible for how alliance strategy is executed as part of a
new business opportunity and should influence Electronic Ink's
management to make certain key alliance offerings as part of the
solution. They are responsible for developing and managing alliance
relationships, you would help client groups access an alliance
partner's organization. Business Development people are excellent
communicators and facilitators. They should be creative, outgoing
and enthusiastic. They have real presence. They know how to build
and nurture relationships - both internally and externally. This
takes experience, having worked in diverse and creative cultures
while collaborating with varying levels of management. However,
most importantly, the VP, Business Development must develop and
present concise, complete and compelling sales messages, and build
demand based on Electronic Ink's four pillars of excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for a number of sales process activities with
specific annual sales targets.
- Selling, shaping and delivering larger, complex, long-term
engagements that combine the four pillars of Electronic Ink's
excellence: Strategy, Design Research, Creative Design and
Implementation.
- Wrapped around these centers of excellence is our capability in
Project Management which strives to deliver quality projects on
time and on budget.
- Ensure absolute client satisfaction through quality of
interaction and performance from project teams
- Maintain a focus on the short-term project deliverables,
concurrent with a firm understanding of client's long-term
goals
- Grow revenue within existing client relationships through
frequent interaction and planning with client and internal project
teams and Directors
- Facilitate the creation and approval of Statements of Work and
Work Change Orders within existing client relationship
- Establish long-term, multi-project relationships with existing
clients
Targets
Background/Experience
- BA/BS in IT, Communications or related field
- Minimum of three years of Account Management experience in IT
or related fields
- The ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage
multiple client contacts in a self-driven environment is a
must.
- Must be able to motivate and lead others in the definition,
direction and execution of project initiatives.
- Effective problem-solving skills, specifically the ability to
assess situations, evaluate options and define strategies as
required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
